We are delighted to be returning to Cambridge University Real Tennis Club for our 2010 Championships, and thank the club and its pros and members for hosting us.

The draws for the two events will be structured so as to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to play tennis on the Saturday morning and afternoon and on the Sunday morning even if knocked out early in the closed or open tournaments. The exact details will not be finalised until closer to the time as it depends on how many entrants we have and how many of those qualify for the closed Irish championship.

Dates

Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th June 2010.

Venue

Cambridge University Real Tennis Club, UK.

The club has two courts, giving us the opportunity for a generous amount of play over the course of the weekend. The Irish Real Tennis Association has visited the club on several occasions and we've always been warmly welcomed.

Address

Cambridge University Real Tennis Club,
Burrell's Walk,
Cambridge
CB3 9DJ
England

Cost

To be decided; will be around £50 (GBP).

Standard

Players of all standards are welcome. Parts of the event will be handicapped; exact details to be confirmed.

Open to

Irish and non-Irish players alike. There will be Open and Closed sections.

Qualification for the Irish draw is based on the same rules as citizenship. Citizenship is not required, but it is required that one would be entitled to citizenship should one apply for it. Roland Budd is putting together a clear set of these rules and we will publish them soon. You will get to play about the same amount of tennis whether or not you qualify for the Irish event.

Further details

Playing times and other details will be sent to participants in the lead-up to the event.

How to enter

Register for the event by emailing the Irish Real Tennis Association; details on the contact page.

Hope to see you there!
